KENNETH TAN CHONG PENG
Managing Director
Kenneth was called to the Singapore bar in 1988 and has been in continuous practice since then. Kenneth specializes in conveyancing, litigation, and general corporate matters. He started practice as a sole-proprietor under the name of M/s Kenneth C P Tan & Co. on 20 January 1989.
Kenneth’s many years of practice has given him extensive experience in various areas of legal practice, which includes conveyancing, litigation, corporate matters, banking law and general solicitors’ work. Kenneth had assisted clients in overcoming many intricate legal situations, from prosecution and defense of multi-million dollar lawsuits, en-bloc sale of properties, to local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
In recent years, Kenneth’s focus is in the areas of conveyancing, Landlord and Tenant, inward disputes and general solicitors’ work. Currently Kenneth represents major landlords like Canberra Development, Tan Ean Kiam Foundation and Kwang Wai Shiu Associations.
Kenneth is the legal adviser to many leading real estate companies in Singapore. He conducts regular/weekly legal seminars for the housing agents of these real estate firms, such as, C & H Properties Pte Ltd, DTZ Debenham Tie Leung (SEA) Pte Ltd, Dennis Wee Group and HSR Property Consultants Pte Ltd, and is well conversant with the legal issues encountered in the real estate transactions.
Kenneth also acts as a legal adviser for various schools’ advisory boards, an alumni and a church. In addition, he currently sits as director on the boards of various companies, which include those in the manufacturing and trading industries. He has further conducted various seminars for the business sector, including the Singapore Manufacturers’ Association on practical legal aspects of commercial contracts and related topics.
Under Kenneth's leadership, ALC is privileged to have clientele ranging from one of the largest insurance companies in Singapore to listed construction companies as well as many SMEs.
In the area of conveyancing, Kenneth acts for all the major local banks. He has also been active in Loan and Mortgage documentation for all the big 4 major local banks, as well as offshore banks like ABN Amro Bank, Hong Kong Shanghai Bank, Malayan Banking Berhad and Standard Chartered Bank.
Particularly, Kenneth has been involved in en-bloc sale since the inception of the collective sales phenomenon, and have a wealth of experience in this specialized area.

Harry Sim was admitted to Singapore Bar in March 1991. Harry is experienced in all conveyancing and property related matters. LIM TIANG YAO
Lim Tiang Yao graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991, and was admitted to the Bar in 1992.
